Kickboxing Technique how to throw a thai punch or superman punch

The high flying and acrobatic Thai punch has been around for hundreds of years.  Originally developed by the Thais and later  dubbed “the superman punch” (for the way your arm and leg post out while you strike making you resemble superman himself) this strike has been credited for some incredibly nasty KO’s over the years.  Do you want to be awesome and learn this killer move?  Check out the video below and practice, practice, practice!

Tell us what you think.

I thought it was better to kick your leg to the side, as your head won’t be thrown forward to counter-act the leg shooting straight back.

Not saying you’re wrong or you leaned forward, just want to know what you think.

The hip rotation and forceful “kick back” generates that power and forward velocity. I’ve seen it done a few ways with more arm swing, an arm pull off of a front kick etc…. I just feel that this set up is the quickest and easiest for people to learn.
